I am a mother, a grandmother and a contemporary realist painter currently living in Montana. I was encouraged to be an artist when I was younger due to some sad events in my life. Through this experience I started to learn and understand how much of an impact being an artist and the art world in general could have on a person if given a chance. Later, I wanted to be a seascape painter and went to school where I received my Associates in Fine Art/Humanities (2007) and have been able to continue my artistic education through books, the internet and personal experiences. Today I do not just paint the ocean but I paint anything that inspires me. Through my artwork, I want to encourage happy thoughts, happy memories and positive perspectives in order to stimulate a happy heart within my viewer whether it be from a nature scene to something as simple as a favorite coffee cup. - Frankie Stockman 2021

One down more to go.

Well I decided that I am done with this one. If I think of anything else.. Highlights etc.. I will do that. But for now I am calling it done.  Largest painting I have painted. The girl is my Emmie. She tried to take a picture of me with it but ... yeah....  so I just took a picture of her instead. She is going to be four in about five days. :)

Three Cheers!

I just wanted to send out three cheers for all of my followers. I love it that you are here sharing all this "stuff" with me. Thanks! I am not painting today. Instead I am being social (cyberly.. not like I am never on the computer giggle) and cleaning my house. I cleaned my art room for the first time today. With the dog, the two cats and my three year old coming in here with me all the time - I was running out of room. So its all clean now and ready for me tomorrow. I have had a good day today and I have crossed off some stress factors from my "stress factor" list. Anyone else have one of those? Sometimes the dumbest little things add up and add up... and it can get to the point where making a phone call or just going to the store can become the chore of a lifetime. And if those little chores can feel so huge - imagine how the bigger chores feel. So I made a list. I waited till I went to bed.. then whatever I thought of - I added. :) I am getting down to nothing left on the list!

I thought I would throw in a detail shot. My phone is not working the greatest so my pictures are a bit blurry. My son walks in (he is 5) and says.. There is something wrong with your painting.. ME: Oh yeah? Whats that?  He says: well your rocks are too brown.  ME: Well I like them brown.  He Says: Okay well there is something wrong with your River.  ME: Its not a River. Its the sea.  He says: Oh! Well there is something wrong with your sea! Too much white! ME: that is the water splashing against the rocks! He Says: Ohhhhh... Well then there is something else.. ITS GREEN!   I gave up. He was trying to find what ever he could. It made me laugh.

My own Space!

Finally today I moved into my "own" space for all my painting and crafting! I am very happy about it. Its in total disarray right now but it will come together soon. All my scarves, all my paintings, my unfinished doll house - its all put where the kids can not ruin them if I leave them out! I am very happy. I am going to set it up later so that I can start painting again. Did I mention I even have a rocking chair in there??      Okay.. well the walls are PINK but I can ignore that for a while.. They are like PINK PINK!     Peptobismol pink!   I can ignore it for a while...  There is little daisies on the wall.. I can ignore those too.. Oh and an unfinished mural of the sky through a faux window... I can finish that!   Anyway... I am happy about it. If I were a sim - my red bar would be turning GREEN! ;)

Napkin Art #1

This morning we went to IHOP for breakfast. While waiting for my food I decided to color on the napkin. This was my drawing. I just used the little kid crayons that they give the sprouts when they come in (our 3 year old was with us) Then I signed it and gave it to the waitress. I told her to keep it because I will be famous one day and just smiled. She smiled so big at me and then looked at the napkin and said.. I believe you! hahaha.. I LOVED IT! You have no idea how happy I was after that. I am sure she will throw it away but it was so much fun to do that either way.

Little Birdie is learning to fly

My oldest daughter of nineteen years has moved out of my house today. She moved out to go to college. She is only two hours away and that is good. :) She is not so far away that I can not help her when she needs it. Also she will be coming home to visit every other weekend. Or so she says! :)   I did not cry. I was very happy for her. The only time I got sad was when I got home. I walked in the door... Shut it... then locked it... When I locked it I thought.. "yep, needs to be locked because Kayla and Brian (her hunny) will not be coming home tonight.  Then I felt that "un balanced" feeling. I know it will fade and I will be alright. :) I am just happy for her. She is on her own. And she is going to be alright. I still have my five younger children at home to focus on.

So now tomorrow I will decide if I am going to have a room to paint in or if I am going to give it to my seven year old....               Guess i will let you know. I really really really really do want my own space! I would love to show you some new stuff.. unfortunately.. I have nothing to show right now. Good night internet. .I am tired now and need my beauty sleep. :)
I was watching a documentary on "stress". It was pretty interesting. What I learned from the show was that if you love others and give to others it actually can make you younger. However - You have to ENJOY loving others and giving to others. Can not be something that puts you out. It has to be TRUE. :) That made me smile. They showed the physiology of how it all works. :) LIVE - LOVE - LAUGH really is the three ingredients to staying forever young and healthy. :)  There was a lot more.. If you have netflix.. look it up.

My oldest daughter is moving out this weekend to go to college.. Am I sad?? Nope. I am actually happy for her.  I worry a little for her but not that much.. I know she will do alright. :)    I am pretty much living through her I think. I did not get to move away and go to college. I wanted to. Instead I was a mom at such a young age..

What I am concerned about is that she is opening up a room in my house by leaving. Sooooo here is the thing.. I want to use the room for my art room and have my own space finally and yet I am torn and want to give the room to my seven year old for her own space so she can feel a little more grown up... She shares her room with my five year old son. (sigh)

All I know is I am going to go and pick up my paintings from the tea shop today.. Its time to bring them home. :)

Been a LOnG time

Well its been a while since I have been on my blog. Not a whole lot is going on. I went away for Christmas.. Had a lot of fun... Now since I have been back I have been catching up on everything. My blog has not been one of those things! Today I do not have a lot to say about much so I am going to leave it as it is.
